A fire that totally destroyed a vacant house is under investigation. Between 15 and 16 firefighters responded to the blaze at 709 N. Detriot Ave. at around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. Firefighters spent about 1 1/2 to two hours dousing the flames. No one was hurt in the fire.
