The Borden County Coyotes enjoyed their District 6-A basketball trip to O’Donnell last Friday night, sweeping a pair of games from the Eagles.
A strong start helped pave the way last Friday night at Wellman-Unjon for the Klondike Cougars, who thumped the Wildcats, 75-36, in their District 8-1A opener.
The Sands Mustangs are considered one of District 8-A girls’ basketball frontrunners again this winter.
• If you lose a contact lens, you can try turning off the lights and using a flashlight held perpendicular to the floor. Five Dawson County residents were among the 1,245 students receiving their bachelor’s or master’s degrees from Angelo State University during the 2023 fall commencement exercises held Dec. 16, 2023 at the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
