Graveside service for Lorene Faye Carter, 89, of Lamesa will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Dee Woolam officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.      Lorene passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas.      She was born April 19, 1931 in Madison County, Texas to John Henry and Lilly (Wilson) James. She married Alton Carter August 14, 1946 in Lamesa. They were married 71 years.     She was a seamstress and designed drapes for Ruth’s Drapery and Interior Accents for many years. She loved sewing, cooking and gardening.
