COVID-19 CONDITIONS

Complying with COVID-19 gathering restrictions, members of the Lamesa City Council – (from left) Mayor Josh Stevens, Marie Briseno, Brant Stewart and Bobby Gonzales – moved into the audience sections and sat at least six feet apart during a brief meeting Monday evening to renew and revise the city’s health disaster declaration to match state rules. Members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court moved their tables apart and limited the total people in the room to no more than 10 during their meeting Tuesday afternoon. During a Lamesa school board meeting Tuesday evening, only three board members and two administrators were in the room, with other board members and an assistant superintendent attending through online teleconferencing.
