The Dawson County Public Library kicked off its Summer Reading Club (SRC) Friday with a free movie. The program continues to provide various activities for all age groups through mid-July.
Lamesa residents woke up Friday morning to puddles after a storm passed through during the early morning hours. Lamesa received a total of 1.57 inches of rain between 2:05 a.m. and 5:02 a.m. Friday morning. The rain collected into almost a lake at Forrest Park. LPR photo
The Dawson County Public Library is the drop off spot for donations benefiting two local non-profit groups.
A reunion for the Lamesa High School graduating classes of 1950-1958 recently was held at the Chapman C-5 ranch at Holt. Members of the group enjoyed visiting, playing 42, sharing homemade hobbies, eating, reminiscing, and participating in a lively scavenger hunt.
