Lamesa Police Department (LPS) investigators are looking for a man who reportedly stole a vehicle, broke into a home and fired shots at responding deputies.

Families wanting a little help with all the ingredients needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal can find them at a distribution drive starting at noon, Sunday in the Lamesa Middle School’s little gym.

The Lamesa school district faces the same dilemma as other districts. There just aren’t enough teachers to go around Educators are leaving the field due to the long hours, low pay and stressful responsibilities. Each year school districts cross their fingers and strive to find qualified educators before a new school year begins.
