A project to resurface 33 miles of Highway 349 throughout Martin County is scheduled to start Monday, Oct. 7. The work should have minimal impact on traffic, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation. Lane closures will be kept at a minimum. Traffic will be kept flowing in both directions throughout the duration of the project. Work is beginning on the north end of the project at the Dawson County line.
