The use of an excavator to clear property for the development of a manufactured housing community along the northwestern edge of Lamesa got underway in January. Once the property has been cleared, Chase Gardaphe of Midland said, the installation of water and sewer lines will get underway. Lamesa Economic Alliance Project board members agreed last July to sell the 11.2 acres of property to Gardaphe.
