A young woman from Midland was pronounced dead by Dawson County Justice of the Peace Denise Dyess at Medical Arts Hospital, following a one-vehicle rollover accident in Martin County on Wednesday evening. Dyess said the woman probably was in her mid-20s. Highway Patrol Trooper Ivan Perez and Sergeant Jason Anzaldua, both with the Texas Department of Public Safety in Dawson County, assisted with the accident scene but the actual investigation was handled by a trooper out of Stanton. Perez said the 24-year-old girl had been driving southbound along State Highway 349 when witnesses said the small pickup she was driving began to fishtail.
