After 32 years, Weldon White recently retired from the roads division of the Dawson County public works department.
White was employed by the county since the beginning of 1986 and retired at the end of 2018.
White operated equipment like dump trucks, loaders, and bulldozers during his time working for Dawson County, but mostly worked with a road maintainer, he said.
White said he started working in the county’s Precinct 4 and still was working in that same precinct when he retired,
