As expected after a dry 2020, overall groundwater levels measured across Dawson County this past January and February were down from the previous year.
But that decrease, averaging just less than two feet, is well within long-term goals for maintaining the aquifer here.
That was part of the information shared during this past Wednesday’s regular meeting of the directors of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District.
