Although it will mean a decrease of about 10-percent decrease in revenue, directors of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation voted Wednesday to keep the district’s tax rate unchanged at 1.4998 cents per $100 worth of property value.
Due to a drop in taxable property values, District Manager Jacob Hernandez reported the tax rate this year is expected to generate about $149,000 in revenue. That is a drop of about $20,000 from the $169,000 in revenue generated by the same tax rate this past year.
