Fifteen permits for new water wells were approved by directors of the Mesa Underground Water District during their regular monthly meeting, which lasted less than 30 minutes Wednesday morning. Twelve of those permits went to Jerry Harris for new irrigation wells in an area a few miles west of the Munger community in the western part of the county.
