Local taxpayers will see a slight increase in the property tax rate assessed by the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District this year, but it won’t be as much as originally proposed.
Although the district had proposed a rate that would have garnered the district about 3.5 percent more tax money than last year, board members opted during their regular meeting Wednesday for a rate that instead will provide basically the same amount of tax revenue as 2020.
