When people see a local ambulance pull up to a house or an accident scene they likely will notice the emergency personnel look a little different than usual.
That’s because they are doing their best to protect themselves and their patients from being exposed to, and possibly spreading, the COVID-19 virus.
“Every patient contact we’re going to wear, at the minimum, a mask. We may also have on eye protection and other items,” said Joey Parks, director of Medical Arts Hospital Emergency Medical Service.
And of course they will be wearing gloves as standard procedure.
