The estimated time for completion of the new Career and Technology Education building currently under construction at Lamesa High School has been pushed back at least a month, due partly to issues with the COVID-19 virus.
Lamesa ISD Superintendent Jim Knight told school board members Tuesday evening that contractors now are indicating completion will be sometime in September. The building initially was expected to be ready before classes start this fall.
“We’re probably talking about the latter part of September,” Knight said.
