Military veterans interested in helping with the re-formation of a local veterans association can attend a veteran’s meeting Monday night.The second meeting of the Lamesa Veterans’ Association is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall at 1705 N Bryan Ave.The organization held its first meeting with seven military veterans and the widow of a Vietnam-era vet last month.The agenda for this month’s meeting includes an announcement that the group received its tax number, and discussions about dues, opening an account to accept donations, the bylaws; and the appointments of a treasurer and chaplain.“We’re going ...
