With about $15,000 still needed, officials with the Dawson County United Fund are making a big push to reach their goal before the annual fund drive ends in just a couple of weeks.
“We’re getting down to the wire. We’re going to be stretching it this year to meet our goal,” said Dale Hansard, United Fund president and campaign chairman.
Hansard said Friday afternoon the campaign has collected right at 74 percent of its goal of raising $60,000 to benefit three local nonprofit organizations.
