Dale Hansard, Dawson County United Fund campaign chairman, is hoping a quick start to the annual fund drive is a good sign for the future.
Hansard reported Friday that the drive already has netted just over $12,000 in contributions.
“That’s not a bad start, considering we sent out letters just about two weeks ago,” Hansard said.
The local United Fund is again seeking to raise a total of $60,000. Organizers are hoping to be able to distribute $29,000 to the Lamesa Boys and Girls Club, $25,000 to the Dawson County Senior Citizens Center, and $1,000 to the Dawson County Teen Court. The remaining ...
