A special election for the Lamesa City Council’s District 6 seat brought out two new contenders for the job.Selenda Cumby and Robin Wiley submitted their applications for a spot on the ballot before the 5 p.m. filing deadline Monday.They face James Grayson, who filed Feb. 20, in the May 4 race.The election’s winner will finish out the unexpired term of former city council member Rudy Sauseda, Jr.Sauseda resigned from office several months ago.
