Organizers of an Independence Day Pageant continue to accept contestants seeking the 2023 Mr. and Ms. Firecracker; and the Mr. and Ms. Photogenic titles.Parents have through Tuesday to submit their children’s entry forms, along with photos, for the annual Fourth of July pageant.So far, only six contestants have signed up for the event.“We really need more,” said organizer Eleanor Cantu.Candidates from newborns up to age 18 can compete for the titles.The pageant starts at 11:30 a.m. July 4 at the Forrest Park Pavilion.“They can call me for the entry form, and the information for the pageant will be on it,”
