Lamesa firefighters work to extinguish both an automobile and a tractor-trailer rig which burst into flames following a collision about 7:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of State Highway 137 and FM 828 about 11 miles south of Lamesa.  Initial reports at the scene indicated at least one man – pulled away from the burning car by others – was serious injured in the accident and several others suffered a variety of injuries.  The accident was still under investigation late Friday evening, with few details available. ...
