Unable yet to get a clear title on the property, Lamesa economic development leaders have again postponed taking any further action on the purchase of a tract of land at 407 N. 7th St.
The issue came up again at Monday’s regular meeting of the directors of the Lamesa Ecomomic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP).
LEDC and LEAP board members voted this past March to purchase about 0.82 of an acre of land at that location from Paul and Maribel Hernandez at a price of $75,000.
