Dawson County is just one of several counties in this area which have been hit by a string of vehicle and trailer thefts in recent days, according to Sheriff Matt Hogg. Two pickup trucks, three trailers and various other items reportedly were taken in four different heists here this past weekend, beginning late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
