Beginning Friday, parents can save money on various school items during the state’s annual free sales tax weekend.From Friday through Sunday, anyone can purchase certain clothing, shoes, and even some school supplies without paying the 8.25 cent sales tax. Only certain items valued under $100 and listed by the state comptroller’s office as qualifying are exempt from sales taxes.
