Lamesa school district K-9 officer Riot has it made. He has a great job, attentive people, a rubber ball to call his very own and now a brand new comfortable spot in the patrol car to rest after a hard day’s work searching for narcotics.
The three-year-old pitbull and dalmatian mix has only been on the job for 18-months, sniffing out marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. Luckily his sharp nose has detected no contraband this school year. When he does find something, he freezes on the object until rewarded with his ball.
