Thunderstorms which started rolling through the area late Friday afternoon and continued into the night created an array of problems ranging from flooding and slick roadways to delays or cancellations of football games. At least two accidents were reported on Highway 349 shortly after the storms rolled through, with one apparently occurring where mud had washed across the roadway. The rain also caused flooding problems on city streets and on the highway routes through town.
