Local supermarkets and other stores are continuing to make adjustments in efforts to create the safest shopping experience possible during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Both Claiborne’s Thriftway and United Supermarkets have placed plexiglass panels at their check-out locations and other key areas to provide a “sneeze guard” or clear barrier between customers and employees.
Both stores also have placed markers on the floor near their checkout lanes to help guide customers in maintaining proper six-foot social distancing guidelines while waiting.
