St. John Baptist Church in Lamesa again will be the site this Saturday of a free grocery giveaway through the USDA’s Farmers to Families program.
Pastor Jermaine Cleaveland said the food will be given away in first-come, first served fashion beginning at 10 a.m.
It again will be a drive-up event, with everyone asked to remain in their vehicles, as COVID-19 health and safety protocols will be followed.
Each recipient will receive a case of food and a gallon of milk.
Cleaveland said he has 140 cases of food and 140 gallons of milk to give away.
