Lamesa City Council members agreed Tuesday that a splash pad installed near the city swimming pool in North Park would be a good asset for the city.
They agreed it would give area youth a fun place to spend the summer while beautifying the park and attracting visitors to town.
What they didn’t like is the cost. A splash pad project could cost between $300,000 to $400,000 on the low end. It would only accommodate 40-50 people at one time.
