A meet-and-greet event for Kevin Sparks, one of four candidates vying for nomination as the Republican candidate for state senator representing District 31, is scheduled here Monday morning.That event is set for 9-10 a.m. at the Forrest Park Community Center.Redistricting this past year moved Dawson County into Texas Senate District District 31 beginning on Jan. 1 of 2023, less than two months after the November general election.Longtime District 31 State Senator Kel Seliger opted not to seek re-election.
