SLATON – Karen and Jerry McGwier of Slaton had the surprise of a lifetime as they led the start of a NASCAR Speedy-Cash.com220 race June 12. The couple, who own the Slaton Speedway on FM 400, said they had a friend who they asked to watch indoor kart racing in Wichita Falls. “He brought a friend of his.
