After something of a lull for a couple of weeks, Dawson County’s total number of COVID-19 cases grew by two late this past week. At the same time, however, the number of active cases dropped, as Mayor Josh Stevens had anticipated. Dawson County now has only six active cases, down from nine one week ago and 10 this past Wednesday. In a Facebook post on Friday, Stevens reported that Dawson County picked up its 41st confirmed case of the virus on Thursday. That person was described as a male over the age of 30.
