In an effort to keep tabs on the number of COVID-19 cases affecting school campuses, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is now mandating school administrators start reporting new cases of the virus to them every Monday.
The weekly online reports to TEA don’t officially begin until Sept. 8.
“I think it’s just for them to gather data and figure out the impact on schools statewide,” LISD Superintendent Jim Knight about the reports.
