A severe winter storm like the one this weekend is never going to be considered a good thing. But the timing for such a storm in February couldn’t be much better as far as schools here are concerned. The Lamesa school system and most of the other schools weren’t expecting to have students in classes this coming Monday, when the high temperature is expected to be about 14 degrees and snow is likely to be covering roadways and everything else.
