If you drove past Joe Spikes Field, you probably wondered why a yellow school bus was parked just outside the field and not in the nearby bus barn.The empty bus was parked there for over eight hours each day Monday and Tuesday to collect community donations of school supplies.The donation drive, called “Help Us Stuff the Bus,” did bring out badly needed pens, pencils, markers, crayons, boxes of facial tissues and spiral notebooks.
