Teachers and other schoo district personnel can expec a little more in their paychecks during the upcomin school year.
Lamesa school board members agreed Thursday to give four-percent median increases to more than 300 staff members.
“I need to know what payroll is going to be so I can finish pre-budget work,” said Liz Oaks, LISD chief financial officer. “We also have employees, their contracts start in July, so we have to get their payroll figured out.”
All school personnel will get those raises over the course of the next school year.
