Lamesa school officials are seeking public input on possible safety and security measures that need to be taken at local campuses and extracurricular events. Lamesa ISD will hold a Safety and Security Town Hall Meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, at Central Office located at 212 N Houston Ave. The school will be gathering citizen input on various ideas such as secure entries, fencing, allowing only clear bags to be carried into athletic events, and the use of metal detectors.
