SEMINOLE – As compelled by a Texas Attorney General opinion, Seminole ISD Superintendent Kyle Lynch delivered resignation settlement agreements between the school and former superintendent Gary Laramore and former girls athletic director and Maiden basketball coach Leland Bearden to the Seminole Sentinel on Monday.
The documents were a “voluntary resignation and mutual release agreement” reached with Laramore on Feb. 11 and Bearden on April 16.
On Feb. 11, SISD Chief Financial Officer Jay Lashaway said the district was only legally obligated to buy out one remaining year of an administrator’s contract.
That is exactly what the settlement agreements revealed.
