Letters have been sent by the Lamesa school system to parents of remote learners requiring that students who are failing coursework need to return to campus in two weeks. Lamesa school board members during a special meeting Tuesday discussed the situation regarding remote learners failing one or more subjects. The discussions came in the wake of diminishing numbers of COVID-19 cases, and the governor lifting an executive order mandating the wearing of masks while in public.
