Lamesa school board members will consider a proposal to drop the school’s tax rate by more than 11 cents during their regular meeting this coming week. That meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room at the school administration building, 212 N. Houston Ave. The board is scheduled to consider proposing a property tax rate of $1.3884 per $100 valuation for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Last year the school adopted a tax rate of $1.49.
