Lamesa school Superintendent David Ritchey went before the school board Thursday with a proposal of to increase the number of class periods from seven to eight at both the high school and middle school.No decision was made on the suggestion, as the item was not listed as an item of action for the board.By adding one class period to the schedule, classes would be smaller, and students would be able to enroll in subjects they may not have otherwise been able to do, Ritchey said.
