The days of youngsters wandering underneath the bleachers at Tornado Stadium during home football games are about to come to an end.Lamesa school Superintendent Jim Knight informed board members Thursday night about plans preventing youngsters from playing beneath the bleachers.Fencing will be placed around the area to make it impossible for youngsters to be under the seating areas.“It kind of hems them in under there, so kids can’t be there,” Knight said. “It’s a safety issue.”The fencing should be completed by the next home varsity football game in three weeks, Knight said.The board didn’t vote on the issue of recreational ...
