STANTON – It has been a busy summer for the Stanton Independent School District. The football field has been recovered with new turf and the track has been resurfaced, giving Stanton one of the nicest facilities in West Texas. The track is again available for use by the public with some restrictions. Recently the school district purchased one triplex and three duplexes on Carpenter Street for new teacher housing. New teachers will be able to move in starting July 1. Phase 1 construction of a new transportation facility is underway as crews began this week preparing the ground for new infrastructure.
