After conducting the required public hearings, Lamesa Independent School District (LISD) board members unanimously adopted the 2021-2022 budget and tax rate during their regular meeting Thursday. No one from the public attended the hearings. The board adopted a budget of just under $23 million, along with a three-cent increase in the tax rate. “We’ve got a tight budget this year,” Superintendent Jim Knight said.
