School Superintendent David Ritchey went before school board members March 21 to update them about the district’s policy on charging non-school related activities sponsored by out-to-towners taking place on school grounds.He wasn’t seeking their approval on the school district’s rental policy, but to update them on improving it.Ritchey has the authority over the district’s policy in charging visitors fees when utilizing school facilities for non-school related purposes.Right now, the district doesn’t charge adults sponsoring local sporting activities or community events on school grounds so long as the programs involve Lamesa kids.
