Lamesa school board members spent more than two hours in executive session Tuesday night before agreeing to extend Superintendent Jim Knight’s contract with a pay raise. ‘ The board unanimously agreed to add another year to Knight’s contract, extending it to 2024, but voted 6-1 on a $3,083 salary increase. Board member Kelli Merrit cast the lone dissenting vote on the pay raise.
