A tentative purchase that will fill three aims for the school district was approved by the Lamesa school board during their regular meeting Tuesday evening. Board members voted 6-0 to purchase the former Automated Controls building at 111 N.E. 14th St. and five acres of adjoining property at a total price of $725,000. Superintendent Jim Knight said Wednesday, however, that the deal remains tentative until the agreement is signed off on by multiple owners of the two properties.
