Students at Lamesa’s two elementary campuses will have four more half-days of classes to attend next year than the students at the middle school and high school campuses.
Lamesa school board members on Tuesday approved a measure to accommodate those extra days by creating two different calendars for the 2020-2021 school year.
The only difference in the two calendars, school officials said, will be the addition of four more halfdays of classes – on June 1-4 – at South Elementary and North Elementary.
