You’re out of luck if you haven’t done your banking before the weekend. Many banks, along with most governmental entities and schools, are shutting their doors Monday for Columbus Day. Don’t expect mail on Monday either. The post office will be closed, but will resume mail delivery Tuesday. The national holiday means there’s no school for students in the Lamesa and Dawson school districts, but it is still a work day for teachers and school staff.
